How to recognize a blog Blogspot (A quick fix)

Greatfirewallsml.jpgLast November, I wrote a message with a collection of "tools" to facilitate the task of GFC. At the time of writing (literally within hours) Blogspot were released from their "blocked" status in China, and so there was not much use for the otherwise useful PK Blogs site.

A few months later, my predictions tide and change again to be blocked have come true. I was slow to post about this because… really is not very interesting. The blocking and unblocking Blogspot, Wikipedia, BBC News, etc., used to be mysterious, or even harmful. Validations fears that the CPC was watching us. Sort of a 1984 meets 1989.

Now, however, it's just life here. " It's boring, and childish… boring. I visited a number of blogs and Blogspot touches my visitation rights. I am fickle about reading online and often can not be bothered to go through a proxy service (such as those mentioned above).

But I Ya Yee, a Chinese interesting new blog (written in English), a cool little trick to thwart the wall in a transparent manner and visit all Blogspot blogs that you want (note that these instructions are for Firefox - you Anyway should use).
The block Blogspot blog quick fix:

Use Notepad (or any text editor) to write a file with the following codes:

Function FindProxyForURL (url, host) (
If (dnsDomainIs (host, ". Blogspot.com")) (
Return "PROXY 72.14.219.190:80";
)
If (dnsDomainIs (host, ". Wikipedia.org")) (
Return "PROXY 66.230.200.101:80";
)

Return "PROXY 72.232.101.41:80";
)
If (dnsDomainIs (host, ". Livejournal.com")) (
Return "PROXY 204.9.177.19:80";

Return "DIRECT";

Save the file as proxy.pac (note, we must be careful not to add Notepad an extension. Txt on file) and put it in your root directory (usually C: \). In Firefox, click Tools-> Options-> Options-> Network-> Settings… fill the text below in a vacuum under "Automatic configuration proxy URL:


Reload press on the right, press OK, then OK. Restart Firefox, and you are done! Blogspot to surf for free (and continually blocked Wordpress.com) to your heart's content.
